Introducing Noros: Your Cloud’s CFO

Noros is an AI-powered cloud finance companion that helps finance, engineering, and product teams understand cloud spend, catch anomalies early, and act on savings fast.

Today we're launching Noros, an AI-powered cloud management companion built to give finance, engineering, and product teams a shared, reliable way to understand and act on cloud spend.

Cloud costs continue getting harder to manage. Teams building infrastructure and teams accountable for the bill are working from different data, and toward different goals. Inevitably, the disconnect between them keeps growing.

For three years, the North Team has seen this problem compound across hundreds of companies. Questions pile up across finance, engineering, and product teams, and a few days later, answers remain unclear.

We kept asking ourselves: what if your cloud had its own CFO?  With Noros, we built the missing piece: an agent that can take the full complexity of a cloud environment, understand what it means for your business, and tell you what to do about it.

That's what we spent the last six months building, and it is live now at noros.ai.

Three systems, one product

Cloud finance questions rarely have a single answer. A question about spend trajectory requires anomaly context, commitment coverage, and forecasting to answer properly. Getting there means having each of those capabilities working together (not in sequence).

That's why we built Noros as a unified system from the start: a cloud finance LLM, a proactive monitoring layer, and a multi-agent architecture that routes queries to the right specialists. The integration between them is what makes the answers useful.

Cloud finance LLM

The model at the center of Noros was trained on tens of millions of real-world cloud optimization data points. It operates on the raw cost and usage data that underpins your bill, analyzing hundreds of columns across services, resources, usage types, pricing models, and time to understand how cost behavior actually emerges.

The Noros app interface being asked a question around cost anomalies.

With Noros, you can ask the dreaded, time-consuming questions:

  • Why did spend jump 22% last month?
  • Which teams are driving the cost increase?
  • Are we on track to hit our yearly target? If not how do we get there?

Noros reasons across the full dataset and returns clear, contextual answers grounded in your actual environment.

It also maintains context across follow-ups. As you dig deeper, Noros refines the explanation by examining additional dimensions rather than restarting the analysis. The goal is to trace what’s causing the outcome until the answer and next steps are obvious.

Proactive monitoring system with automated data visualization

Most cloud cost tooling is reactive by design. Something spikes, an alert fires, and someone investigates. By the time that loop ends, you're explaining a number you don't fully understand to leadership who needed it last week.

Noros doesn't wait to be asked. It tracks the KPIs your business actually cares about, surfaces anomalies before they compound, and connects what's happening in your cloud data to what it means for your goals.

On top of monitoring, Noros will create reporting and analysis reports at your request in the visualization format your team requires.

Need this consistently? Tell Noros, and updated reports will be delivered to you weekly, monthly or at a schedule of your choosing.

The Noros app interface alerts a critical anomaly detected in Amazon RDS.

Say your EC2 spend jumps 18% mid-month. Noros flags it, ties it to the specific instances and usage patterns driving the increase, and tells you whether you're at risk of blowing over your quarterly budget. By the time anyone asks, you already have the answer.

Data toolkit for complex analysis

A generalist trying to answer every cloud finance question is going to get a lot of them wrong. Why? The domain is too wide. Rate optimization requires a different context than anomaly detection. Spend allocation requires different reasoning than forecasting. You want experts, not a single model trying to cover everything.

Noros routes each query to the specialists it actually needs: dedicated agents for rate optimization, anomaly detection, spend allocation, rightsizing, commitment coverage, and dozens more. They work in parallel, each operating with deep context in their domain. A consolidation layer synthesizes their outputs into one coherent answer.

The other consequence of this architecture is that each specialist improves within its domain over time. The system doesn't just answer queries. It gets better at answering them.

What it looks like in practice

The fastest way to understand Noros is to see it in action.

Ask:

  • Which of my servers can move to the next-gen processor? What are the performance tradeoffs?
  • Which accounts in my org have grown the most in spend over the last six months?
  • Give me a cost breakdown by tag from last quarter. Give me another for the last seven days of anomalies.
  • Why is my spending pacing 5% higher this month?

Each of those is a question that would normally take hours to pull together, routed through at least two teams. Noros answers them directly, in plain English, against your actual data.

The example that captures the system best is a CFO asking: "How do I lower costs 12% to hit my year-end goal?" Noros pulls the spend baseline, identifies the gap to target, models four savings opportunities that together exceeded the goal, and returns a sequenced plan with a month-over-month trajectory.

The answer matches the question. That's the behavior we designed for.

Built for every seat at the table

Cloud cost problems rarely fail because of missing data. They fail because the right person never gets the right answer in a form they can act on.

CFOs need to know what's happening in their cloud environment without waiting three days for an answer that may turn out to be wrong. Noros gives them a direct line to their own data, translated into language that doesn't require infrastructure expertise to interpret.

Engineering leaders carry a hidden tax: reconciling cost data, fielding one-off finance requests, and building reports for questions that will just come back next quarter. Noros handles the analysis so engineers can stay focused on the work that scales.

Product teams generating their own cloud footprint through AI features, new services, or drifting infrastructure now have a way to see what they're running and what it's costing, without routing a request through anyone.

What's next

We built Noros because the problem demanded it. Too many companies are paying for cloud they don't fully understand, making decisions from fragmented data, and absorbing the cost of a coordination failure that good tooling should eliminate.

Noros is available now.

If you're already a North customer, you have access today at no additional cost. For everyone else, there's a 14-day free trial at noros.ai. Connect the accounts you want to track and you'll have answers within the hour.

We're continuing to develop new capabilities based on how teams use it, and we're interested in hearing from anyone who's been living with this problem.

If any of this sounds familiar, come take a look.
