Release Notes

We’ve shipped a wide range of improvements this month across reshaping, anomalies, streams, onboarding, and more. Here’s a summary of what’s new:

Reshaping

• Fixed an issue where machines from customers with large data volumes were not being retrieved due to region-specific calls. Retrieval is now more accurate, resulting in more reliable reshaping savings.
• Introduced a scalable way to display CloudWatch metrics for all machines across regions and accounts.
• Improved accuracy by filtering out ephemeral machines that appear briefly, while still capturing frequently recurring instances with the same name.
• Enhanced loading performance to support larger machine lists and smoother scrolling.
• Resolved mismatch issues between homepage reshaping savings and backend data.

Anomalies

• Deprecated the legacy anomaly detection version; users must upgrade to Advanced Permissions by September 18th to retain access.
• Added exact anomaly dates to records for better traceability.
• Optimized the anomaly detection algorithm, reducing processing time for large customers from 90 minutes to under 2 minutes. This unlocks the ability to deliver hourly anomalies and more granular insights in the future.

Streams

• Search bar now available on all drop downs with more than 5 records.
• Product and tag filters now apply historically.
• Automatic data reload when a stream is selected.
• Stream duplication no longer incorrectly inherits BU without assignment.
• Improved handling for deleting groups of streams.

GCP Savings

• Improved the calculation of savings and accuracy of tracking utilization across multiple CUDs and term lengths. We hope that the new update from GCP last month brings better accuracy to our customer base and improve visibility on how well CUDs are doing relative to usage.

Onboarding

• Added clearer checks and explanations to ensure StackSet is enabled before permission deployment.
• Restricted onboarding to valid AWS ORG UNIT IDs (r-xxxxx) to reduce confusion between organization IDs and org unit IDs.
• Improved error handling and redirection for a smoother onboarding experience.

Other Improvements

• Enhanced billing and invoice management  with improved search functionality.
• Commitments page is now viewable even when Autopilot is enabled.
• Improved account removal process to eliminate errors when customer accounts are deleted.
